Featuring a typed letter signed by WWII General JONATHAN "Skinny" WAINWRIGHT. Wainwright fought in WWI. In WWII he was promoted to General and eventually assumed command of the Allied Philippine Forces when General MacArthur evacuated to Australia. Wainwright eventually surrendered to the Japanese and was taken as a POW. Wainwright was held and treated harshly despite his rank. He was eventually liberated and announced the Japanese surrender to the Japanese people. He was also present at the request of General MacArthur on the USS Missouri to witness the official Japanese surrender. Wainwright was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1945.  The letter is authenticated by JSA
